143.1

Clothing

In all events, athletes must wear clothing which is clean, and designed

and worn so as not to be objectionable. The clothing must be made

of a material which is non-transparent even if wet. Athletes must not

wear clothing which could impede the view of the Judges. Athletes’

vests should have the same colour on the front and back.

At all competitions under Rules 1.1(a), (b), (c), (f) and (g), and when

representing their Member under Rules 1.1(d) and (h), athletes shall

participate in the uniform clothing approved by their national

governing body. The Victory Ceremony and any lap of honour are

considered part of the competition for this purpose.

Note: The relevant governing body may specify in the regulations for

a competition that it is mandatory for the colour on athletes’ vests to

be the same on the front and back.

 

Technical Information

National team clothing

  • In the Championship all competitors have to compete in the national team clothing, approved by their national Athletics Federation.
  • Distributions of medals is considered as a part of the competition.
  • Your National team clothing has to be checked in the callroom.

Registration and Competition Numbers (BIBS)

Can be picked up at stadium

Opening times:

Thursday 17-20

Friday 8-17

Saturday 8-17

Sunday 8-12

Numbers shall be worn on both the front and the back (Except in high jump and pole vault where one number is required – front or back optional)

 

The first two digits show the age group of the athlete. The last three digits are the competition number.

 

Numbers must not be folded or cut in any way (IAAF Rule 143.8) which could lead to disqualification

 

The same number must be used by an athlete regardless of the number of events in which they participate. In the relay events, athletes will use their given competition numbers and the final runner must wear the hip numbers issued by the Call Room.

 

Hip Numbers

Hip numbers for all running events above 400m are obligatory. They will be handed out in the call room

 

Reporting

At the latest 1 hour before the start of each event by signing the list outside the competition office. It will be possible to sign in the evening before.

 

Call room

Athletes have to report at the latest

- 60min before Pole Vault

- 40min before Throwing competitions

- 30min before High Jump/Long Jump/Triple Jump

- 20min before Running competitions

 

Venue

All events will take place at Odense Atletikstadion or the throw area next to the stadium.

10km Walk will take place on a route next to the stadium. See the maps on the stadium for more information.

 

Warm up

Should be done either in the cricket area next to the stadium or in the indoor arena. See the maps for more information. No warm up in the stadium

 

Implement control

Competitors may use the own throwing implements provided these implements conform with the rules. Any other competitor in the owner’s specific competition has the right to use that equipment if they so wish.

Implement control is open:

Thursday: 16-18

Friday, Saturday: 8-10 and 12-14

Sunday: 8-10

 

Clothing

All competitors must wear clothing that is approved by their national governing body.

 

Field Events

Each vertical jump competition will be conducted as a final (no qualifying round or preliminaries). Various age groups will be combined as necessary. Both feet must be off the ground during the Jump.

 

Where age groups are combined, the winner of each age group may request special height raises not in the normal progression, but the rest of the competitors may not jump at the- se special heights but must continue in the normal progression.

Markers

No chalk, powder pen markers, or permanent markers of any kind are to be used on any runway or the track under liability of disqualification.

Opening Ceremony

Friday at 11.45. At least five persons from each country.

 

Results

Will be announced at the competition office as well as on the live update imars.dk

 

Victory ceremonies

Will be approximately 30min-1hour after end of each competition

 

Shuttle bus

There will be shuttle buses to and from the Hotel Plaza and Hotel Scandic throughout the day. Competitors in other hotels can walk to the Plaza and take the bus from there.
